Pourquoi un avion vole ?
Un avion tient dans l'air grace à la portance.
La portance est une force, comment est-elle produite ?
Vous trouverez d'innobrables explications sur le sujet. Il faut y retenir, deux approches.
1 - La théorie de D. BERNOULLI qui explique que la portance est produite par une différence de pression autour de l'aile.
2 - La théorie de Sir I. NEWTON qui démontre que la portance est la force de réaction sur un corps provoquée par un flux de gaz.
Aussi bien la théorie de BERNOULLI que celle de NEWTON, sont exactes. La prise en compte de l'effet de la pression ou celle de la vitesse, détermine la force aérodynamique.
